I commenced my Bikram journey in Edinburgh; (thank you Edina St!). I fell in love with the Bikram practice. The community was amazing and the practice pulled me together, allowing me to be strong in mind, body and soul! A wonderful alchemy occurred, whilst I was working in a stressful corporate world, & whilst also studying for a Law Degree ( i don't do things by halves) . I realised, as i worked through the practice and my life, i wanted to change direction. I attended the Teacher Training in Mexico in 2017, set up a yoga retreat in the highlands and I am now so happy to bring Bikram Yoga 90 mins back to Leith, where I was born and bred. My philosophy, "Turn up, just do it, without fear, and complete belief in yourself"!
Brian is not only the top ranking attendee at our new studio. He is also a qualified teacher of Wu Dang Tai Chi. Practising since 1979 at the Boys Brigade Club in Leith with Ian Cameron.

With Tai Chi based on the same principles of movement, balance and coordination of the entire body, with the principles of no weaknesses in postures where there may be deficiencies or protrusions in any stance or movement. This, for Brian is the link between Tai Chi practice and yoga practice. Brian's teaching will be carried out with reference to his Sifu Ian Cameron to ensure this practice is consistent with tradition.
You will receive teaching in the Square Form, Round Form, Spear Form, Sabre form and Sword Form.

At Hot26 Edinburgh, we believe that the Original Bikram Hot yoga is a practice that can benefit you in so many ways. Offering the mind, body, and spirit a workout. We approach yoga as a tool for self-discovery, personal growth, and healing. But you have control here, you choose what is best for you, just let the magic happen! A regular 90 minute practice will allow you to feel & grow stronger, more balanced, energised, lose weight, reduce anxiety, sleep better, detoxify & feel good!
You will be guided through your Bikram 90; always by qualified Bikram Yoga Teachers. Weekly Wu Dang Tai Chi is available on Sundays and a restorative yoga & Nidra is available usually monthly.
Cant do 90 mins, we have a 60 min, Expresso (name gifted by one of our genious yogis), its the 26 postures, merged into 60 mins, its hot, its fiesty and its fab.
We will be introducing additional classes - 60
We will be adding variations of our practice and watch out for our Sound Bath by Lindsey, its magical.

All familiar names used to describe the same 90 minute practice of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercise by teachers qualified at Bikram Yoga Teacher Training.
Is this suitable for beginners?
Absolutely and we will look after you! You wont be a beginner for long!
What to Wear?
leggings/Shorts & Vest for the practice.
You will sweat, so wear something warm and absorbent for after class.
What to Bring?
Water, yoga or bath towel, yoga mat (but we have some spare!). Bring a face cloth or towel if you wish to freshen up after.
Facilities?
11 bathrooms (over 2 floors) for changing and a freshen up. We don't have showers! But we have wash facilities. Remember its only sweat!
Changing rooms, Coat hooks and a shoe rack, storage cupboard to stash your bags and clothing. A small kitchen for topping up water bottles. T tree infused sprays and cleaning cloths for your mats.

Sound Bath, once per month, a half hour of bliss at the end of the month, by our beautiful yogi Lindsey.
Weekly Tai Chi on a Sunday afternoon. Its good to mix it up and Brian is a Tai Chi teacher, who has been practicing for over er 40 years.
Classes start on time. So please arrive at least 10 - 15 mins before class. If your running late, its not over!! Get in touch! We will do our best to get you in and started. However the doors will eventually be locked as we will be enjoying the class!.
